Frank Mejia, EA · Enrolled Agent — IRS

Returns prepared with the care of someone licensed to defend them.

Every return is prepared and reviewed by an Enrolled Agent, with the documentation to support each figure if the IRS ever asks.

What we prepare

FMT Advisors prepares federal and state returns for individuals and businesses. The scope ranges from a straightforward wage return to a business with multiple owners and entities.

  • Individual returns (Form 1040), including wages, self-employment income on Schedule C, rental property on Schedule E, and investment income.
  • S corporation returns (Form 1120-S) with a Schedule K-1 for each shareholder.
  • Partnership and multi-member LLC returns (Form 1065) with a Schedule K-1 for each partner.
  • C corporation returns (Form 1120).
  • Amended returns (Form 1040-X) and prior-year returns that were never filed.
  • State returns prepared alongside the federal filing.

The preparation standard

A tax return is signed under penalties of perjury. It deserves the same rigor whether it is simple or complex.

  • Complete intake. A structured review of your documents and your year, so nothing is missed and nothing is guessed.
  • Line-by-line review. Every return is reviewed before it is filed, with each figure traced to its source.
  • Explained before signing. You will know what is on the return, why it is there, and what it means for the coming year.
  • Filed electronically. Returns are e-filed with confirmation of acceptance, and state filings are coordinated with the federal return.
Looking ahead

Preparation looks backward; planning looks forward. Once the return is filed, the most useful thing to do with it is use it as the starting point for next year's strategy. See Tax Planning & Strategy.
